London Buses route 112 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Ealing Broadway station and Brent Cross bus station, it is operated by Metroline. ==History== Route 112 is a busy service which serves the North Circular Road. It was introduced in the 1950s and was a very different route from what it is today; it ran from Palmers Green to Ealing Broadway, with a very long Sunday only extension to Hampton Court. The Hampton Court section was cut back to Kew Green in the 1950s, and withdrawn completely at the end of the 1950s. In 1971 the route was cut to Finchley ''Henly's Corner'', and AEC Routemasters commenced operating the service. In 1981 it was extended back to Palmers Green. In 1987 the Monday-Friday evening and all day Sunday service was withdrawn, and a year later, route 112 was converted to single decker operation with Leyland Nationals. In 1994 the route was extended to Wood Green. Severe traffic congestion on the North Circular resulted in the route progressively being shortened. In 1996, the section between Brent Cross and Palmers Green was withdrawn and replaced by route 232. Since that time, route 112 has run from Ealing Broadway to Brent Cross. In 2000, the Sunday service was re-introduced after a 13 years of absence. For many years, the route was operated from Stonebridge Park garage. When the garage closed in 1981, operation was transferred to Cricklewood garage. The route was put up for tender and on 30 July 1988 it passed to Atlas Bus & Coach with Leyland Lynxs. Upon being re-tendered on 6 August 1994, route 112 passed to R&I Coaches using Optare Vectas. Route 112 was included in the June 1996 sale of R&I Coaches to MTL London, which in turn was bought out by Metroline in August 1998.〔(History ) Metroline〕 The allocation was transferred to Cricklewood using Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Darts, and again to Perivale East in 2003. Upon being re-tendered, the route passed to Tellings-Golden Miller on 31 July 2004 with Caetano Nimbus bodied Dennis Dart SLFs.
